Not just shells on this beach
The weekend is looming large, the weather forecast is favourable and its time to get out and do some exploring. Jump into the car and head down to Currumbin Beach, a little more than an hour's drive from Brisbane on the Pacific Motorway and go to the Pacific Parade, in Currumbin for a day's adventure.

Along the beach front for a kilometre you will find quirky, fun, colourful art and installations which will have you walking around, looking under them and going up very close to see what they are made of. Go for a twilight walk and catch some of the art work being illuminated, or participate in one of the artist's information talks. There are classes for adults and children and lots more.

This exhibition which is free to all and hugely enjoyed is in its 13th Year. It is a coming together of local and international talent, showcasing what they are proud of and what they think is appealing. Go along and see if you agree and vote for the best Sculpture or just enjoy having a good old critique of the art work to your dog.

As parking is a little limited park at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary for the very reasonable amount of $8 for the whole day and walk the half kilometre to the start of the exhibition.

Thanks for doing the write up. ... my friend is the genius behind the big Chinese dragon made of chainlink. I remember first seeing it in his shed and was amazed!
