I have always wanted more late-night dessert places in the CBD and now it seems places are catching on!

The newly opened is located on Russell St. You have to enter Sugarbun (mentioned in Lunch Spots in the CBD ) and follow the signs to an elevator to get there.

Signs and figures involving British toy soldiers and moustaches will guide you, so it's not too hard to find.

One of the drawing factors of the lounge is that it stocks crepe cakes, a bit of a craze in Melbourne right now. Mille crepe cakes include many layers of crepes, coming in various flavours. The most popular in Melbourne include Mille and B crepe cakes , but I don't think these cakes are made by them. They seem quite similar in style but with flavours such as lemon cheesecake and more.

The other dish that seems quite popular is the honey toast with fruits. You might think toast is nothing amazing, but when it comes shaped like a huge box full of food, with sauces on the side, that really catches your eye!

I like that their menu is quite extensive - with a mixture of unique toast boxes and traditional desserts. Furthermore, their drinks menu does not only include tea and coffee but also some cute mocktails.

They incorporate a lot of moustaches into the decor and presentation - from straws to mugs. It makes it particularly amusing when people are going to take a sip with the moustache in front of them.

My friend chose a crepe with seasonal fruits and it was plated very well, with drizzles of sauce and fruit scattered on the plate.

It's a good dish for something quite light, as the crepe is pretty thin.

It was a cold wintery night, so I wanted something to warm me up. The toasts were tempting but I think I needed to be hungrier to order that. I wanted to go for something I hadn't seen anyone order yet from this place, and chose the apple and pear crumble.

It was just what I needed - I loved the biscuit texture of the crumble and the fruit underneath was nice and hot. Together with the custard sauce and salted caramel ice-cream, the dish was perfect, and a nice one for sharing too.

I noticed a few other things such as a matcha creme brulee and even bar food on the menu (chips/burgers), so this place is ready to satisfy the masses. However, I don't think it's the prime place to visit for bar food or coffee - better to try the desserts that they are popular for!

It's still new so I want to give it a few more tries and see what else is on offer. Take an adventure upstairs and see if there's something for you!
