Sweet Treats Dessert Cafe
If you've got a sweet tooth, you've come to the right place! is just 17km from Brisbane CBD, an easy 20 minute drive away. It is also easily accessible by public transport, with a bus stop right outside the cafe - there is no excuse to give this amazing dessert place a miss by saying you don't a license and/or a car!
For those of you who know the Southside, it is right opposite Warrigal Square Shopping Centre - in fact, you have a perfect view of the shopping centre from Sweet Treats. Being located next to a shopping centre has it's perks - if it is your first time visiting the area, Sweet Treats will be much easier to locate!
in Runcorn was so successful that they actually opened up a new branch in a nearby suburb, Sunnybank Hills. If that does not convince you of the quality food and drinks that they have on offer, then maybe these photos will...
They also have Blackstar Coffee here, roasted locally in West End. As a side note, their business card doubles as a rewards card, so get stamping to get your free coffee!
They also have many other food and drink options available - they sell more than just desserts here, which is great because there is something that will suit everyone.
Sweet Treats is open till at least 9:30pm every day, except on Fridays and Saturdays when they are open till 10pm! It's the perfect place to go when it's late at night, you're craving something sweet, and a sundae from Macca's just won't cut it. However, if you're looking for a sweet deal (not that their original prices are not already very reasonable), Happy Hour is from 10am-12pm during weekdays. Is this a good enough incentive for you to spend your lunch break here?
Sweet Treats has both indoor (bar seats and table options) and outdoor seating, with dogs being allowed outdoors. There is always good music playing, and the atmosphere and ambience is very relaxed - it's a perfect place to catch up with friends and family.
It's also a great place to come alone and spend some 'me time', as there is free WiFi here! The only catch is that you first have to 'like' their Facebook page, but their desserts definitely make your 'like' worth your while. For those of you wanting to get away from technology for a little while, they also have magazines available for perusal.
They also have writings on the wall with super cute and funny quotes/pictures. Worth having a look!
To sum up, is a must visit. If you live in the area, it's definitely making it your regular haunt! Staff are friendly, and service is quick. They are also really quick to respond to messages on Facebook, so don't hesitate to shoot them an email if you have any questions. If you do pay them a visit and are at least satisfied with their food and service (which I am sure you will be), please leave them a tip, because all tips go to charity - this is just the cherry on top of a great cafe!
