Sweet Evelyn is a brand new bakery cafe that has just opened up at 128 Union Street, sharing its name with the owners little girl it really is a sweet little place. Previously home to the Penny Black Cafe, and right next door to Miss Marmalade Cafe , you will be spoilt for choice for your next coffee. Newly refurbished it is big, bright and white, with an outdoor area set to open when the weather warms up. With seating out the front and ample parking Sweet Evelyn is a great addition to Union Street, Brunswick.



Sweet Evelyn has friendly local staff that are happy for a chat and make great coffee. They have delicious pre-made sandwiches and a range of simple breakfast options, we tried the porridge and poached eggs, both beautifully presented and good serving sizes. The real treats here though are the delicious selection of cupcakes, macarons and brioche donuts, made with quality ingredients and baked to order, it definitely lives up to its sweet name!



You must get a few doughnuts to take away, made freshly in store everyday, complete with homemade raspberry jam. Beautifully boxed up they would also make a great gift.



Sweet Evelyn haven't quite got their Eftpos up and running, so be sure to bring cash in case, though they are confident it will be running very soon.



Make sure the next time you are in the mood for a delicious cupcake you drop into Sweet Evelyn, it's well worth a visit.
