Sweet Delicious used to be one of my favourite places to hang out with friends - it's a nice place to relax and kick back with drinks and good music. Oh, and also $2 darts if you're unlike me and actually somewhat co-ordinated!
The indoor seating is comfortable with soft chairs and couches, with a picturesque bar and dessert display. Unlike other cafes/restaurants, the outdoor seating at Sweet Delicious is equally comfortable - having a dog, I've noticed that outdoor seating is usually not as comfortable as the indoor seating. Lucky for me and Eddy, this was not the case at this particular eatery - the same soft chairs were used for outdoor seating too!
Back in the day, they used to have a wider selection of desserts than they do drinks, but now, it is the opposite. It is possible that they might be catering towards a different audience now? Nevertheless, they still have quite a few desserts available - although I did not order any on this particular night, the desserts that I saw other customers digging into looked spectacular.
I would also like to add that one of the workers there (who gives off the vibe of being the owner) was super friendly and welcoming, giving Eddy lots of pats and attention - this was rare for a restaurant on the Southside, especially for a bar and not a cafe, so I was extremely touched and grateful. Brownie points in my books!
All in all, great visit - great place, great atmosphere, great service. Sweet Delicious Bistro Dessert Bar is only a 20 minute drive from the CBD, and is open late every day. There is plenty of parking in the car park directly in front, and is a great place to be, rain or shine. Prices are reasonable, and they are (very much) dog friendly!
