A touch of paris in Melbourne with Hot Toffee Frappes
We went in search of another cafe that was mentioned on WeekendNotes, however, upon arrival it was closed and we came across the lovely little Sweet Crumble. cafe.

Upon entering Sweet Crumble, you feel as if you have entered into a French patisserie

There are large armchairs with big white cushions and a beautiful selection of magazines and cookbooks for you to peruse while you're sipping on your latte.

There is the selection of lovely French savoury treats, including savoury brioche and little pizza breads

However the people really come here for the cupcakes and macarons.

You can wash them down with a lovely selection of herbal and black teas or hot or cold frappés in many different selections, including hot toffee, as well as the usual coffees and some decadent specialty ones.

Red velvet: Moist red velvet cake filled and topped with a creamy vanilla bean frosting (dairy free).

Chocolate vanilla sprinkles: Moist and light chocolate cake topped with a creamy vanilla bean butter cream and rolled in hundreds and thousands (dairy).

Choc choc custard ganache: Moist chocolate cake filled with a creamy Belgian chocolate custard and topped with a rich dark Belgian chocolate ganache and chocolate sprinkles (dairy free).

Lemon meringue: Moist vanilla cake with lemon zest filled with lemon curd and topped with toasted meringue (dairy free).

Coconut cream: Moist coconut infused vanilla cake filled with a creamy coconut custard, topped with a smooth coconut butter cream frosting and rolled in shredded coconut (dairy).

Passion fruit swirl: Passion fruit infused vanilla cake filled with passion fruit curd and topped with a passion fruit Swiss meringue butter cream (dairy).

Peanut butter swirl: Moist Belgian chocolate cake filled with a peanut butter buttercream and topped with a rich peanut butter ganache (dairy free).

S'mores: Moist chocolate cake filling with chocolate fudge sauce, topped with toasted meringue and sprinkled with homemade marshmallow, chocolate chips and graham crackers (dairy free).

Chocolate coconut: Moist Belgian chocolate cake filled with a creamy coconut custard, iced with a coconut buttercream and rolled in coconut coconut (dairy).

Raspberry White Chocolate Swirl: Moist Madagascar Bourbon vanilla cake filled with raspberry confiture and topped with a raspberry white chocolate butter cream and topped with a fresh raspberry (dairy).

German chocolate cake: Moist Belgian chocolate cake filled and topped with a coconut butterscotch and walnut frosting (dairy-free).

Caramel Apple: Warm apple walnut cake topped with caramel frosting and drizzled with homemade caramel sauce (dairy).

Salted caramel chocolate: Moist Belgian chocolate cake filled with pure caramel and topped with a Swiss milk chocolate ganache drizzled with more caramel (dairy).

Strawberry shortcake: Moist vanilla cake filled with homemade strawberry confiture and sweet whipped cream, and topped with a strawberry butter cream (dairy).

Hazelnut kisses: Belgian chocolate hazelnut cake filled with a creamy hazelnut praline and topped with a rich chocolate hazelnut ganache (dairy free).

Hostess: Chocolate cake filled and topped with a creamy vanilla bean buttercream, topped with a Belgian chocolate ganache a garnished with a white chocolate drizzle (dairy-free).

Cookies and cream: Moist chocolate cake filled with Belgian chocolate custard, topped with cookie and cream Swiss meringue butter cream, a chocolate sandwich cookie and drizzled with chocolate (dairy).

Mint chocolate: Moist Belgian chocolate cake filled with a mint chocolate custard and topped with a mint Belgian chocolate ganache and mint cookie (dairy free).

Snow cones: Light chocolate cake topped with marshmallow meringue frosting and completely dipped in chocolate (dairy free).

White-out: Moist Madagascar Bourbon vanilla cake filled with creamy white chocolate custard and topped with white chocolate buttercream and white chocolate shavings (dairy).

Wow - and that's just the cupcakes, there's also the bakery items, the little decorated cake pops, the sweets, the meringues and the macarons. Perfect for a delicate little afternoon treat.
