Caroline is Sweet
Floral Design is an apt description of the Sweet Caroline florist shop in Mt. Evelyn.

The moment you walk in you feel the warm ambience of the surroundings. The brick fireplace at the back seems to radiate warmth and is reflected in the original floorboards leading to the fireplace.

The floorboards give off a nice feeling.

As you enter, a wooden cart holds potted plants ready to go home with you.

The main feature of Sweet Caroline is floral arrangements, or more accurately floral designs.

The left side of the shop features a series of 'steps' upon which the arrangements are displayed.

Starting to fill up.

When I arrived, it was only half filled with newly created arrangements. It was soon almost full as Julie was weaving her floral magic in creating new arrangements.

The business is owned by Carolyn, known as Cazz. She and her team are originators of all you see.

A huge display decorated the counter made up of many items making a showpiece.

A front-of-counter display shows some unique cards and candles. Many ribbons which assist in floral design add much colour behind the counter.

While arrangements seem to be the most popular items, you can also buy bouquets, bunches and even single stems of some flowers.

An array of designer plant holders is displayed behind the long counter and look attractive, even before being adorned with a plant.

Cazz related that the name of Sweet Caroline came from her father who was a Neil Diamond fan. One step into Sweet Caroline will make you a fan of Cazz and her creations.

What a pretty florists. We used to have one in the main street in Wonthaggi, but during COVID she surrendered her shop front and now works from home. Such a shame.
