Heaven in a mouthful
I have been known to declare, "I could eat macarons for breakfast, lunch and dinner" but when purchased, these delicious morsels can cost up to $3 each for 2-3 (sublime) mouthfuls. So if you love macarons as much as me, making your own would be heaven and sure to impress your friends.
Macarons look like they are simple to make, however, if you have ever tried to whip up a batch you have probably discovered they are not as easy to make as you may have hoped. But under the skillful guidance of Patrick, class participants are able to transform a few simple ingredients into trays of delicious macarons. Patrick provides loads of key tips and his teaching style is patient and sprinkled with humour.
Our class of 10 participants each walked away with 40 delicious macarons to share with friends and family or eat all by themselves. One of the best tips we learned was that macarons can be frozen! Now you are talking. I can have an endless supply in the freezer and pull some out whenever I have the urge and eat them......for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Pastry chef and academy owner Patrick has worked in the pastry trade profession around the world for over 40 years and now shares his knowledge and passion at his pastry school. He offers a range of other classes including cake decorating, confectionery, pastries or bread making.
The excitement builds as the yummy macarons come together
The Sweet Artist Academy was awarded Best Pastry Chef Academy in 2021 so, whether you have no experience in the kitchen or are a professional looking to up-skill, Patrick is keen to share his knowledge.
