Are you fit? Are you interesting in stepping up your fitness? I believe it is imperative and particularly as we grow older that we stay as fit as we possibly can. I know that being fit, even if not super fit, makes life a bit easier as we grow old and become less agile!

Sweat or Sparkle is a community event which teaches wome how they can improve their health and fitness. This event will be held on 20th October 2018, and is produced by Diamond Pole Dance. The venue is their pole dancing studio, situated at 6/200 Winton Road, Joondalup.
Pole dancing is virtually a performing art which includes dance and gymnastics. It involves dancing and doing various stages of acrobatics on a vertical pole. It is practised according to your age, subtlety, and fitness levels. t is for all ages, and can also be done by seniors in many cases. It is an excellent way to stay in great shape as we age.
For those younger people, it is great for many things and can even be a good weight loss exercise. To book for this event, go to the Diamond Dance website and fill in the form, or phone 9300 9065.
What exactly is Sweat or Sparkle? The students of Diamond Dance will be showcasing their skills on the poles. They will be running FREE express "taste test" classes in pole dancing, stretching and handstands! You will be able to see how pole dancing can make your workout Sparkle again!

But Who is Diamond Dance? Diamond Dance is a pole dancing studio in Joondalup.
They are passionate in their belief that all women should love their bodies unconditionally for what they can do. They love to show and teach women that your body is capable of amazing physical things and especially through the art of pole dancing. They also teach women that its okay to feel sexy and to have the confidence to flaunt this.
They have a variety of fitness classes designed specifically for women. These are to help them with their strength training, cardio training, stress relief and confidence. Once again, this is for all ages, starting from children.
Teachers All of their instructors are experienced pole dancers and fitness professionals. Diamond Dance take your safety seriously and they therefore only have small class sizes for a personalised learning experience.
Even if you are not very strong, these classes are specifically designed to gradually build up your strength a little at a time. This is done with an assortment of moves and strengthening exercises. You do not need to have had any previous dance experience and the instructors will teach you everything. You can read more about their instructors at this link.
What to wear? It is often a problem wondering what to wear to a new exercise class! At this one you can just wear any normal clothes you would wear to a gym. The level 1 classes are done in bare feet, so you need not worry about shoes. If you are not sure if this is for you, then you can also just try out in the first or second week of any term. These test classes will cost just $20 each, which is a great idea!
If you go to the Sweat or Sparkle and you enjoy it, you can make enquiries about continuing, or rather start classes for your benefit. It is recommended that you do one pole class per week to begin with, as well as one non-pole class per week. This is because your body will have to get used to this activity. These classes will help you get more flexible as well as getting fitter.
