Situated between the Murray River and Princes Highway,
Swanport Wetland provides visitors with the opportunity to view local wildlife. A range of native fish, mammals and waterbirds can be found if you look closely. Just take a stroll along the boardwalk or chill on the viewing platform.
The easy and flat walking trail is approximately 1.2 kilometres in length, which could be completed within 30 minutes. Do stick to the designated paths in order to protect the environment. Access to the wetland is via a dirt road from the Frank Jackman Lookout off Princes Highway in Murray Bridge. If you're looking for a spot to stretch those legs after a long drive, this might just be the place for you. Parking is plentiful too. So, be sure to check it out next time you're on the road.
