A great day out for everyone to enjoy
School fetes certainly have changed. The chocolate crackles and sausage sizzles are still there, but they've been joined by so many activities and entertainment options that what was once a local school event has become a community celebration. On Saturday 15 November the Swan Valley Anglican Community School joins this new tradition with a Family Fun Day where there will be something for everyone.
The Parents & Friends Association have been working overtime to make the Family Fun Day a success and they've signed up dozens of different activities and entertainment options. There will be market stalls featuring crafts and handmade goods, and parent and student groups running bric-a-brac and lucky dip stalls Community groups including police, fire brigade, sporting clubs and even the RAAF will offer demonstrations and information.
Hungry visitors will enjoy the international food tent and other food stalls while those with a sweet tooth will be well catered for with fresh donuts, pancakes, fairy floss and popcorn.
The activities are sure to get people laughing as they try their luck on the bucking bull or the dunk tank. For the youngsters there are bouncy castles, a reptile park, the Cuddly Animal Farm and face painters. The entertainment stage will feature local talent for those who want to relax. There are also raffles and a money wheel.
How to end such a great day? With fireworks of course! Sit back and watch the night sky light up.
The Swan Valley ACS Family Fun Day will be held on the school grounds at Swanleigh Parade, Aveley (Ellenbrook).
