The Suzuki Night Market is when Melbourne's Queen Victoria Market comes to life at night. In fact, the Suzuki Night Market (otherwise known as the Queen Victoria Night Market) for 2012 will be on every Wednesday night from the 14th of November 2012 to the 27th of February 2013, with the exception of the 26th of December 2012 due to being a public holiday. Now in its 15th year, this fantastic event will become a fantastic foodie experience in one of Melbourne's oldest markets.

Melbourne is a multi-cultural city, and the food on offer expresses this diversity. This event will showcase a range of world foods prepared from around 35 different stalls. The cuisines on offer include Indian, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Spanish, Dutch and Middle Eastern to name. Hawker style food stalls will be enjoyed.

Melbourne is also known as the fashion capital of Australia, and this night market will also have some artisan and local designer threads for sale, including hand made jewellery. If you need a piece of art to decorate your living space with, you're also in luck. Home decor ideas will also be available.

The range of international dishes would not be complete if it wasn't for some quality wines to match. A variety of different wines from various Victorian vineyards will also be available. A host of regional wineries and vineyards will have their wines available to taste, from Chardonnay to Pinot Noir. The wine available for sale at this annual event can be enjoyed with your food, or you can simply take a bottle home with you.

The Suzuki Night Market will also feature some live music with the emphasis on local bands. If you're also into health and wellbeing, tarot card readings and massages (to name) will also be available.

Tram routes 19, 57 and 59 stop right outside the Queen Victoria Market. If you're driving, parking is available at the designated Queen Victoria Market car parking area where you can either enter from Franklin Street or Queen Street. Bike riders, enjoy free bike parking in designed bike parking spots inside the Queen Victoria Market.

This event starts at 5pm and finishes at 10pm. Enjoy the international culinary journey and succumb to your senses. One minute you could be taken on a curry whirlwind, while the next you could enjoy some honey dumplings. Be surprised, amazed, explore and have an open mind. From previous experiences, the Suzuki Night Market is a great way to unwind on a mid summer's night. Best to arrive as a early as you can. This event is usually quite popular.
