During those vibrant summer twilight hours, the best way to enjoy the simple things in life is a visit to the Suzuki Night Market. Starting from Wednesday 16 November 2011, the Suzuki Night Market season will commence and run on every Wednesday night until 29 February 2012.
Located at the historic Queen Victoria Market, join the festive ambience of the Suzuki Night Market where the cultures of the world join together and share a drink or two.
You can sample a variety of world cuisines ranging from the already well established Italian wood fire pizzas to the more rare and exotic African lamb stews on couscous. Apart from the food, the market also has a wide selection of clothing, arts and crafts stores. Squirm your way through the array of stores and see if you can purchase some one-of-a-kind handmade items, or simply browse around and appreciate the artistry.

Outside the shelter of the market place, the festive mood continues with three stages showcasing live musical acts to provide that right summer of love feel. Often will you see a mass of people in that fun loving mood, dancing about to the rhythm of the night.
You can easily find yourself struggling through these market lanes just due to the sheer popularity of this much adored event - just one of the little charms that I love about this night market. So come along and bring about your festive self and enjoy the summer nights!

I went to this week's market and it was loads of fun! It seemed like every second person was devouring a deep-fried potato on a stick, so of course I had to get one despite the long line. It was certainly worth the wait- I strongly recommend anyone who visits the night market gets a potato on a stick!
The miscellaneous stalls had plenty of exciting wares for sale. Some of the things you can get there are really quite odd, like watches made from coconut shell and some creepy looking puppets.
It seemed that the popularity of the market was its downfall, however. The throngs of people pushing past detracted from the experience and made it impossible to stroll leisurely through the stalls.
