Spoil yourself with lunch at Suttons Beach Pavilion
If you find yourself in the Redcliffe area, and you are looking for a good restaurant with good food and a fantastic view of the ocean, then Suttons Beach Pavilion is a great option. Serving classic Australian and International dishes, this restaurant is a popular option for both locals and visitors to the area (which can sometimes mean slower service when it is busy). Suttons Beach Pavilion is located right on the beachfront, with sweeping views across Moreton Bay to Moreton Island. It is an original 1937 bathing pavilion, lending itself to a fantastic atmosphere.
Dishes on the menu range from entrees and light salads, to hearty pastas and steaks. They also have some delightful imported beers to choose from, including several from various Pacific Islands. There are regular specials for every open night of the week, so keep an eye out. We came for lunch and had the salt and pepper calamari and the slow-cooked beef gnocchi; both were delicious.
While we ate at the restaurant, we noticed there is so much more to Suttons Beach Pavilion. They also have a cafe servicing beachgoers, a fish and chippery for the takeaway inclined, and a tapas bar only open on weekends. Opening times vary depending on the day and season, so check out their website here for more information. If you are planning a wedding or function, their two popular function rooms are worth looking into.
