Suttons Beach is located on the foreshore of beautiful Redcliffe, overlooking the Coral Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean. Suttons Beach is a popular spot for families, locals and tourists alike because it's fully patrolled by lifeguards and boasts picturesque rotunda&oq=band rotu&gs_l=img.1.0.0l2j0i5l2j0i24l4j0i5i24.1157.3734.0.5312.9.9.0.0.0.0.539.1538.4j0j4j5-1.9.0...0.0...1ac.1.Fq5Gybgw1XA band rotundas , numerous barbeque facilities, gazebo-style dining, bikeways, toilet blocks, disabled access, plenty of space and a large playground for children.

Suttons Beach is a great place for the whole family. Saturday family barbeque or Sunday sundown walk; the park is so large that there's plenty of room for everyone. As a venue for your next family barbeque Suttons Beach will cater to your needs. Take advantage of the barbeque facilities (homemade burgers and hotdogs, mmm) and seating arrangements (those gorgeous band rotundas), or pack a picnic and blankets and relax in the shade of the huge native trees.

Barbeque facilities are located under gazebos around the fenced playground, close to parking and the toilet block, so that parents can keep an eye out for their little ones while chatting and cooking in the shade. Food can be laid out on the tables available, family-style, so that everyone can pick and eat whatever they like (my favourite kind of barbeque) before finding their place to sit.

The grounds between the beach and the car park are large and green – great for playing some team sports. The older kids, not quite young enough to truly enjoy the children's playground, will enjoy football, soccer or cricket. So remember to bring some sports equipment over on the day, maybe the adults would like to join in for a game as well.

As well as sports and barbequing, other activities possible at are:
• Swimming
• Building sand castles
• Shell collecting
• Bike riding
• Play in the children's playground

The playground at is of a decent size and is fenced for your child's security. The playground is close to parking and the barbeque facilities which means that the adults can keep an eye on their children whilst they play. The playground is fully shaded by permanent shade cloths and the area is floored with layers of bark. It features the bright colours and play equipment that entertain any child.

's playground presents forts, climbing frames, swings, slides, see-saws, spinning equipment/rides, monkey bars, ladders, tunnels and a flying fox for your little ones' entertainment. This equipment is spread out so that children can have their own space in the park but, as children do, will hopefully see them sharing and playing together.

Now although everything I've mentioned so far describes the Pine Rivers Park as a family space, it really doesn't have to be seen that way. The extensive grounds and bike paths can be used by couples wanting to spend time in a nice setting, friendship groups or even a single person just wanting to 'get away'. It really is a place for everyone. Picnics, barbeques, sport, games and relaxing shade – head on over to , Redcliffe on the weekend, school holidays or even this afternoon. You won't be disappointed.
