We really are spoilt for choice when it comes to interesting parks to take the kids. Located across the road from Brassall Shopping Centre, is another standout in the Ipswich area.

The most exciting feature of this park is the bike track. Designed for children to enjoy on two or four wheels, this mini road-like circuit has two lanes with arrows to keep everyone going in the right direction. Collisions are also avoided with street signs like give way and stop, and pedestrian crossings. The circuit has working traffic lights, a feature your children are sure to love. For the older, more adventurous kids, there is a skate bowl where they can fine tune their wheel-bound trickery.

If your little ones aren't into bike riding, there is still plenty to do at . The playground has lots of swings, some monkey bars, a see-saw and, everybody's favourite contraption, a flying fox. The slippery slide and connecting fort are not too high off the ground, and all sides are well enclosed. This makes it lovely and safe, so you don't need to worry about any very small children having a fall. To exercise the mind, there are some puzzles for your children to ponder.

Both the bike track and the playground are surrounded by several seats, so you can give your legs a rest while still keeping an eye on the kids. The playground is well protected by shade sails, but the bike track is exposed to the elements. This means you should remember to pack your hat and sunscreen along with your bike.

For the energetic and fitness minded, there is an impressive array of exercise equipment here. As well as cardio equipment like exercise bikes and cross trainers, there are strength building machines like the shoulder press, lat pulldown and chest press. Each item has an information sign explaining how to perform the exercise, so even novices can have a go.

has several rotundas with tables and chairs and clean, working barbeques. If sitting on the ground is more your style there is plenty of room for a picnic. Lots of clear green space is also available for you to kick a ball or run around. Toilets are located on site, as well as lots of rubbish bins so you can tidy up before heading home.

Whatever they like doing, a day at is sure to wear out the kids. Bring your bikes and pack some lunch, and come and enjoy this exciting green space.
