As part of its Sustainable September festival, South Melbourne Market is offering Sustainable Circuit Guided Tours to market goers keen on learning how to become a more sustainable shopper.
South Melbourne Market's Sustainable Circuit Guided Tour will take shoppers worried about sustainability (which should be all of us!) on a guided tour around South Melbourne Market while explaining how to shop and live more sustainably.
On the tour, which is being run every Wednesday throughout September, you will learn new ways to shop that will help change your shopping behaviours to more eco-friendly ideals. In addition, you will get to meet market traders who are serious about sustainability and find out more about their wares, as well as getting to taste test some scrumptious sustainable market produce.
Last but not least, you'll get a behind the scenes look at how South Melbourne Market is managing to be run sustainably, as well as at new eco-friendly innovations at the market, such as its initiative to turn food waste into garden fertiliser.
The tour costs $10 and can be taken on these days at these times:
Wednesday 6 September 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Wednesday 13 September 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Wednesday 20 September 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Wednesday 27 September 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
