Many cafes all over the world have joined an amazing charity movement known as
Suspended Coffee . The
"caffe sospeso" concept originated over a decade ago in Napoli, Italy and has recently spread to thousands of cafes in hundreds of cities across every continent. Here in Brisbane, it is also possible to earn some good coffee karma next time you buy your morning cappuccino.
How it works:
Step 1. You crave your morning coffee, and head for your local cafe participating in the
Suspended Coffee movement.
Step 2. You purchase two coffees - one coffee for yourself and the other coffee is added to the cafe's waiting list and "suspended" in time. Your anonymous act of charity is now complete.
Step 3. Someone without enough money for a coffee visits the same cafe and asks for a suspended coffee, then gratefully enjoys the one you purchased previously.
Step 4. You have now earned your good coffee karma for the day, congratulations.
