Sushi Yezeh is amongst the many Japanese dining options along Willoughby Road in Crows Nest. In addition to serving sushi, sashimi, noodles and the usual Japanese delights, Sushi Yezeh also offer Japanese barbecue, where you cook your own meat on a hot plate at your table, and would be a fun place for a group dinner with your family or best friends.
We wandered by Sushi Yezeh in search of lunch and were enticed in by the modern and clean décor and the possibility of a quick and tasty lunch.
We both immediately went for the Lunch Specials and each chose the Bento Boxes, a serving of Gyozu and a pot of green tea.
The fried Gyozu were delightfully crispy on the outside and deliciously tasty and juicy on the inside. We also chose two Bento Boxes, one sushi (mix of salmon and prawn) and one sashimi (mix of salmon and tuna sashimi), both with mixed tempura (vegetables and prawn) and Pork Katsu (crumbed and fried pork cutlet).
The sushi and sashimi tasted fresh, the tempura was crispy and not too oily, and the pork katsu was nice – all in all it was a good meal. It wasn't particularly special, but it was what you would expect from a decent Japanese restaurant.
The staff were friendly and efficient and we were overall satisfied with our lunch. We were pretty hungry and luckily didn't have to wait too long to place our order and the food was served relatively quickly thereafter.
If you're just after some takeaway, there are plenty of ready-made hand rolls, sushi and sashimi packs to choose from in their counter display.
There are lots of Japanese dining options in Crows Nest, but if you can't choose and are after a quick sushi fix, give Sushi Yezeh a go.
