Fed Square at the corner of Flinders and Swanston Streets in the City has been entertaining the masses since 1 July with their free program of the
Surveillance Film Festival. It's all about surveillance at the Square, what with
The Eyes that watch you, watching them, watching you, this winter at Fed Square until 7 August 2022.
On
Saturday 6 August 2022, look forward to
two films from 6pm and 9pm, and it's free. There'll also be free-loaded hot chocolates and eye-themed sweet treats from the Woofy's Eye Spy Cart near the Main Stage from 6pm-9pm or until stocks run out.
Nothing like the golden classics with
North by Northwest with Cary Grant screening first. A wretched New York advertising executive is mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies and is chased across the country while he looks for a way to survive. The second film stars James Stewart in
Rear Window. Professional photographer Jeff is wheelchair-bound after breaking his leg. Confined to his apartment window he spends time observing his neighbours and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder. Jeff enlists the help of his high society fashion consultant girlfriend Lisa and visiting nurse Stella to investigate. Don't miss out on a night of free entertainment and freebie sweets and hot chocolate.
