In the trendy suburb of Surry Hills on Crown Street (corner of Collins), markets are held in this reserve on the first Saturday of every month, from 7am to 4pm, regardless of weather. However if it does rain, the markets will generally be set up along the paved area.

These Surry Hill Markets also run over Christmas and New Year if you have any 'spare' dollars to play with. They are run as a 'fundraiser' for the local Neighbourhood Centre.

About Shannon Reserve: It's always refreshing when you find nice usable green spaces in inner city suburbs. Shannon Reserve is one of those spaces. A smaller sized neighbourhood park with trees for shade and a children's playground with traditional equipment, a slide, swings and a climbing structure.

Shannon Reserve

It's small green spaces like these, in the city that gives us opportunities to take short refreshing breaks before getting back into the hustle and bustle of city life.
