Surry Hills Festival

Home > Sydney >
The Surry Hills Festival is on this Saturday the 18th of April in Prince Alfred Park.

To keep you amused there will be:

"live entertainment and djs, 250 market stalls, free fun activities for kids and families, tasty international food, amusement rides, fashion shows, cooking demonstrations by acclaimed local chefs, the famous Surry Hills Dog Show, WHEELZone for cycling enthusiasts, and so much more ..."

You can download the program here.

Things kick-off around 9am and run through until around 6pm. Live music is a big part of the festival with bands playing over 5 stages.

The stalls will feature "an array of local designers, vintage fashion, hand crafted artwork, eco and fair trade products as well as delicious foods from around the globe".

There is also lots for the kids to do with a dedicated children's entertainment stage and a series of fun-looking workshops.

As you may have guessed Surry Hills is one of biggest and best local festivals on the Sydney calendar. Not one to miss if you are a festival fan.

Parking will be hard to find (unless you fancy a bit of a walk), take public transport if you can. Check the 131500 website for your best route. Central Station is only about 500 metres from the Prince Alfred Park.

Why? Like a regular local festival, only crunchy.
