The Surfers Paradise Festival is back, bigger and better than ever before.

Celebrations of food, art, music and culture will flock the streets of Surfers Paradise delighting, entertaining, fascinating and dazzling masses from Wednesday 2 to Sunday 27 April 2014.

Expect a fantastic showcase of up-and-coming local talent, in addition to national and international artists in masses of community events across four weeks.

[SECTION]Surfers Paradise Festival Street Parade[/SECTION]



The Street Parade on Wednesday 2 April marks the beginning of Surfers Paradise Festival. See the colourful parade of beautiful lanterns accompanied by various school and community groups weaving through the streets for it will be a magnificent sight.

Witness the colourful mobile spectacle march the streets to Surfers Paradise Beach.

[SECTION]Launch It! Beach Concert[/SECTION]



Gather the troops for the biggest and the best beach concert series for three big nights at the Surfers Paradise Beach from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 April. With each night featuring a different theme, vibes and gigs, you wouldn't want to miss out on any night. Featuring top contemporary Australian music showcasing a huge line-up of artists, this is the place to be after dark. Expect anything and everything from rock to pop, and everything else in between!

[SECTION]Surf, Seafood and Symphony[/SECTION]



Making its debut at the Festival for 2014 is Surf, Seafood and Symphony on Saturday 12 April. Celebrating all things that make the Festival one of the country's iconic events, the Foreshore and Cavill Mall will be full to the brim with wonderful food stalls. So head on down to this premier food event and ignite your appetite with seafood and the most delectable fare from all corners of the world. It's time you soak up the colours, flavours and tickle your tastebuds ladies and gents!

What's more, an exciting line-up of outstanding entertainment all through the precinct will delight all attendees. The event culminates with a spectacular symphony orchestra performing on the beach for the very first time with some very special guest stars. This is an event not to be missed.

[SECTION]Seafire Fireworks Challenge[/SECTION]



Witness the works of the country's very best pyrotechnicians at Seafire Fireworks Challenge on Friday 25 April from 7pm as they light up the night sky with all sorts of beautiful colours. Enjoy the sonic boom that fills the sky as it lights up Surfers Paradise Beach from above timed to a thumping musical beat. Expect some of the best fireworks displays in this beachside battle between the pyrotechnicians. It will be thrilling, exciting and a spectacular sight, let me tell you.

What's more, fire twirlers from the Phoenix Fire Tribe will do their tricks with sticks and flaming pois down at sea level so there's heaps of excitement and plenty to see.

[SECTION]One Way Street Party[/SECTION]



The One Way Street Party is a laneway-style art and music festival that represents the city's cultural scene. Head to Appel Street on Saturday 26 April for a feasting. Here you'll find talented indie bands with tunes to fill the air; live art projects to fascinate and intrigue the masses; and street markets loaded with retro and vintage fashions.

See the diverse range of live art displays and interactive exhibits. Whether you're into art, just starting to get into art, or not really into art, you will find these displays interesting, intriguing and even compelling.

Skatedecksabition, a crowd favourite, will once again wow the spectators as artists go to new extremes to create a traditional artwork on something not so traditional, the skate deck.

[SECTION]Australian Street Entertainment Championsips[/SECTION]



From Friday 18 to Monday 21 April, the Australian Street Entertainment Championships returns to the Foreshore this year gathering some of the world's top street artists including jugglers, dancers, acrobats, clowns, magicians and musicians as they battle it out for the crowd's attention. This will be three exhilarating days of filled with unsung talent, innovative creations and vigorous performances across a number of stages. Get ready to be amazed, overwhelmed and intrigued. And while you're there don't forget to vote for your favourite performance.

Bring a picnic blanket for the ultimate cinema experience under the stars at SIPfest on Saturday 26 April. Featuring a program of first-class short films produced by emerging filmmakers, this outdoor film festival is guaranteed to entertain all sorts of audience covering all sorts of genres including thriller, comedy, animation, documentary and drama. So invite your friends and family for a mini-movies marathon.
