is a family-friendly charity event for the aid of Stefan Carroll that is to be held on Saturday, 19th June, 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm AEST at the Queensland GAA in Willawong. Stefan Carroll is a young man of 28 years from County Carlow , a county in the Irish province of Leinster in South-East Ireland near Dublin and famous for its castle and cathedral. Unfortunately for Stefan, he recently suffered a traumatic spinal injury in an accident while swimming. This moment has forever changed Stefan's life and the lives of his loved ones. He can never walk again. He can move his arms and there is great hope that as his rehabilitation continues, he may well regain the use of his hands. A fundraising appeal will assist Stefan in reaching that milestone.

His family and friends appreciate his fighting spirit and 'he has always been the hero' to his little sister Halle, who decided the muscled arm of strength was an appropriate symbol of her big brother's determination to do the best he can in his unfortunate situation. Each and every dollar donated to this appeal will make a difference to Stefan, his future and his hopes for rehabilitation. Hence, the June 19 event is an important part of that fundraising appeal.

The event day is on Saturday, 19th June at the Queensland Gaelic Football & Hurling Association in Willawong in the Brisbane southern suburbs. The family-friendly event will consist of live Irish music, food, kids activities and a cash-payable bar. It will also feature the fascinating Irish sports of Gaelic football , Hurling and Camogie with music by the likeable and spirited Australian-based Irish bands Tartan Shamrock and the Munster Bucks .

Entry is $10 for adults with free entry for children.







This is a great chance for all to come together and help Stefan as a community. Although the cause of his injury is unfortunate, it is still a wonderful sentiment by Stefan's friends, family and supporters to get this event happening and so deserves lots of support from all who want to learn about Irish events, or reconnect with Irish events, or just to support a good cause in general.
