Who needs to travel to Paris for delicious, flaky croissants
Now that we are out and about again, it's time to check out that new breakfast spot you were really looking forward to visiting before lockdown happened. For me, it was "Superthing" on Montague Street in West End that I wanted to pay a visit to. This pastel pink patisserie boasts a wide range of delectable pastries baked fresh daily for your enjoyment. What a treat!
A delicious range of sweet and savoury treats is available
The bakery's specialty is croissants, with Tiramisu and Choc Hazelnut being popular favourites we certainly enjoyed them! There are a wide range of other pastries available as well, including fruit danishes and morning buns with vanilla custard, or monkey bread with sundried tomato, basil and parmesan or ham and cheese croissants for those with a hankering for savoury treats.
If you are after something more substantial, some of the breakfast offerings include Avo Toast, Breakfast Buns and Poke Toast, while the lunch menu has tasty offerings of Reuben and Chips, Grilled Haloumi Bagels and Orecchiette Pasta. While there, you may also like to browse the wide range of sourdough and other bread loaves baked on site.
Baked daily, there Is a wide range of bread options on offer
Coffee is by Padre and tastes great with the freshly baked Lindt Choc Chip Cookies! Currently, the patisserie is open from 7am to 2pm daily for takeaway only. They do plan to open their seating area again soon, and you can find out more information and discover their daily specials by visiting their Facebook Page.
Superthing is definitely worth a visit - get there early to ensure you can get your favourite treat!
