This cookbook is perfect for young chefs! Super simple says it all. No stovetop is required!
At the beginning, there is a demonstration on how to fold a tortilla. Then, there is an ingredients list to make grocery shopping easier.
The recipes start out with Gobble-Gobble Wraps. This recipe calls for tortilla wraps, cranberry sauce, deli turkey, lettuce and mayonnaise.
Then, there are Very Veggie Pockets. Anything from mushrooms, tomatoes, green bell pepper, and grated cheese in a pita round with the dressing of your choice.
Following is Tasty Tuna Salad. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, tuna, onion, celery, lemon juice, mayonnaise, salt, pepper in a lettuce leaf served with crackers and a tomato.
This cookbook by Nancy Tuminelly is easy to follow, especially with the photographs.
I chose to highlight the recipes that I like best. Have the taste of Thanksgiving all year round. Have a portable salad via pita pocket when on the go. If you do not like tuna, use canned chicken breast, with either canned tuna or canned chicken breast being cheap and healthy.
Not only are children going to know how to pack a lunch for school, but for later on when preparing to enter the workforce.
I think this cookbook is appropriate for kids and adults alike.
