Humans have been fascinated with flying for centuries. While the Wrights brothers are often referred to as the ones who invented, built and flew the first aeroplane, it was Da Vinci who dabbled in the exploration of mechanical flight. Who knows what the next aircraft could look like, but without a day like this, we may never know!
The Aviation Heritage Museum of Western Australia will be hosting a on 16 January 2020 from 10 am to 4 pm. It is the one day where flight enthusiasts can sit in the cockpit of one of four famous planes. If you ever wanted to know what it feels like to be behind the flight controls of a Spitfire, Vampire, Huey or Dakota, then this is an event that should not be missed. Of course, having a photo taken while in the cockpit would be a memory that will last a lifetime.
Outside of this extraordinary experience, kids will have the opportunity to take home a complimentary colouring and activity book. It is, notably, the perfect way to remember an epic event.
General admission to the museum is $15.00 for adults and free for kids. Parking is available outside of the museum.
