It's the eleventh year the annual Supanova Pop Culture Expo is being held and the line-up this year really is one of the best there's ever been.

Supanova is an expo where fans of television shows, movies, comics and books gather to meet their favourite actors, actresses and writers. I attended two years ago, when Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy in the popular Harry Potter series) was there to sign autographs and take pictures with eager fans. I waited about four hours in line for a picture with him but it was worth the wait, and the picture hangs above my desk to this day, and will remain for a long while more.

When I went, however, Tom Felton was the only one I was interested in. This year, though, there's a whole list of people I would wait in line for – my top two are Alex Kingston who played River Song in Doctor Who and Natalia Tena who played Nymphadora Tonks in Harry Potter. But there are still loads of others I would love to see, too.

Some other guest actors are:
- David Hasselhoff – Baywatch
- Barbara Eden – I Dream of Jeannie
- Rose McGowan – Charmed
- Ray Park – Star Wars (Darth Maul)
- Dean O'Gorman – The Hobbit (Fili the dwarf)
- Graham McTavish – The Hobbit (Dwalin the dwarf)
- Stephen Hunter – The Hobbit (Bombur the dwarf)
- Mark Ferguson – The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Gil-Galad)
- The Cast of cult indie film Sushi Girl
- Jason Trost – All Superheroes Must Die
- Lucas Till – All Superheroes Must Die

Along with the screen actors, there are also those involved in anime and comic books:
- Vic Micnogna – Fullmetal Alchemist
- Yuko Miyamura – Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Steve Yun – Robotech.com (creator)
- Dave Gibbons – Watchmen (writer)
- Rachel Dodson – X-Men (inker)
- Dean Rankine – Simpsons comic (writer)

And authors of best-selling series' too:
- Hugh Howey – Wool
- A. A. Bell – Diamond Eyes
- K. J. Taylor – The Fallen Moon series
- Colin Taber – Ossard trilogy

And that's not even a complete list! The full list can be found here and if the guests I included didn't catch your attention, maybe you'll find someone on the full list who excites you.

To gain access to the expo, you'll need to pay $30 for a ticket. That gives you entry to all the free events on the day. This includes competitions (Cosplay, Karaoke, Fan Art, Anime Trivia) and guest panels, where the actors/writers/artists get on stage and speak directly to you! If you've had a question you've always wanted to ask the Hoff or a dwarf from The Hobbit, now's your chance (more pricing info is at the website, with special ticket packages too). There will also be exhibitors around the venue, selling heaps of merchandise you can't find in stores anywhere, and food stalls that you can buy hearty meals or some crazy candy.

Half of the actors require a fee for autographs and pictures but there are also quite a few who will sign and pose for pictures for free (and you can find that list here ).

Even if you don't want to pay money to meet any of the stars that'll be there, there is still heaps of stuff that will entertain you all day. I remember when I went there was an exact replica of the Delorean from Back to the Future and my sister and I spent quite a while taking photos with just that. Plus, the costumes that people don are actually incredible to look at. It's an event for everyone, whatever you're a fan of. From my personal experience, I think you'll enjoy it for sure!

(I am totally going – River Song is going to be there, can you believe it!)
