If Sydney's Supafest is anything to go by, Brisbane and Melbourne are in for a treat.

Sure Timbaland has cancelled his Aussie shows but who needs him when you've got Bow Wow, Taio Cruz and Ciara, and boys, rest assured there are plenty of half naked women grinding everything from chairs to performers to each other.

Nelly was a standout performer of the night with his crazy energy, smooth talking lines and the fact that he covered ACDC. He even invited three lucky ladies up on stage and serenaded/danced with each of them after putting them through their paces in a walk off contest because every good performer needs a confident walk.

Snoop Dogg headlines the show and is well worth the wait. His set is nothing short of an experience. On the big screen a Godfather themed story plays in between songs which sets the mood. His stage presence is captivating and if you can see his face over his Snoop Dogg microphone you've hit the jackpot. Snoop also takes time out of his set to pay tribute and respect to Nate Dogg and Tupac.

The longest line inside the festival is for your over 18s wristband, then a slightly shorter line for the ATM, slightly shorter again for your drinks and then shorter again for food. We sure know our priorities. However if you buy Bling Ring tickets you have your own private bar and food outlets, and a better viewing advantage so that's definitely worth considering.

In between sets be sure to visit the Mashup Tent featuring djs, including Timmy Trumpet and the Sunset Bros. Tucked underground, this stage goes off. Be prepared to be covered in sweat - 80% of which won't be yours and keep a keen eye out for flying water bottles.

There's a merchandise tent with your usual t-shirts and stubby holders but be prepared to shell out as per usual. Though you can offset this cost with the free water they provide so everybody's a winner! So get your inner RnB god or goddess out and visit Supafest 2011!
