Isn't Weekend Notes supposed to be for ideas- places to visit and things to do- in our own town or city? If you look at the Weekend Notes' how to be a writer it says to write about things in our own town/city. I don't think overseas or other non-Western Australian holidays count. For other Australian cities, they too have their own local Weekend notes reviewers

if you've got millions of frequent flyer points from your rich father's company like a guy at my work, you can indeed pop over to KL for a weekend on a lie-flat business or first class bed - but for the rest of us - no.

Hi Eddie, weekendnotes cover quite a lot of cities around the world and Kuala Lumpur is one of them. Writers could opt to write about locations outside of their home cities and a small portion of the daily newsletter is dedicated to promote these locations outside our home cities.

If I may ask, how did you get to this article? Is it through a newsletter?
