Welcome. Here you can find the most unique, fun, traditional, tasty, wacky, historical, contemporary, discovered and undiscovered places, events, experiences and things to do.
Up, up and away
The Sunshine Short Film Festival is on again on Friday 30th October at Village Cinemas in Sunshine. With the theme of "Superhero" (real or imagined) on the night you can see the spectacular results of the Sunshine Short Film Festival competition: selected original five-minutes-or-less films in three categories competing for cash prizes.

On Friday 30th October there will be two different sessions:

6.00pm - Primary School Screening: Primary school students can attend for FREE, Adults are $15.00. See the SSFF website for more information and bookings.

7.30pm - Main Festival Screening (Secondary School and Open categories). Tickets are $15 and can be purchased through Village Cinemas online or at the box office.

As a community based film festival, expect some local flavour as well as an amazing array of offerings from film makers ranging from beginners to way beyond. While the films all share the theme of Superhero, two of the categories feature the creative talents of some of the younger members of the community and the third is open to all. See the Festival website for more information on the films to be screened on the night.

So why come along for an evening of superhero bliss and vote for your favourite film to win.

Sunshine is easily accessible via public transport and there is ample car parking around the cinemas. For something to eat and drink there's an almost worldwide choice of cuisine available at the local restaurants, pubs and cafes.

To view films from last year's festival, see the Festival's YouTube channel.
