" The Notebook " - Maroochydore Sunshine Plaza Cinema - IT'S true. It is the reason Kleenex enjoyed a bumper return exactly 10 years ago. (Can you believe we have known Noah and Allie that long?) And yes, it's 124 minutes that have proved a popular punch line for bitter twisted comics the world over for the good part of that decade. But millions of fans across the world took the rich debutante and her mill working boyfriend to their hearts, and turned them into a love story for the ages. Personally? It's a very lovely story with some great support from big screen stalwarts James Garner and Gena Rowlands, but its the magic and chemistry in the pairing of Rachel McAdams and a Ryan Gosling that makes hearts soar.
