Did you realise that without community support, there are more than 1,000 families whose children don't have the fun and excitement of opening up pressies on Christmas morning after a visit from Santa?



So people, we need toys, lots and lots of new toys! The community can ensure the success of the Toy Run by donating unwrapped toys and/or books to bring a sparkle back to the lives of these children.

The unwrapped toys to suit ages from babies right through to teenagers can be delivered to the Kawana Shopping World prior to 4 December. The Salvation Army will then age categorise, wrap and distribute the toys - distribution is done with the assistance of the Sunshine Coast/Blackall Range Ulysses Club.



If you own a road-registered motorcycle, dress your bike in festive cheer to suit the occasion as there will be prizes for the best-dressed bikes. Entry is free but each bike participant is requested to bring a gift. The ride starts at Kawana Shopping World , 119 Point Cartwright Drive, Buddina (8.00am register, 9.30am departure) and finishes at the Kawana Surf Club , 99 Pacific Boulevard, Buddina (11.30am arrival for a BBQ).



Kawana Shopping World is supporting the Sunshine Coast Toy Run by accepting all the toy donations and allowing their car park to be used for the bikes to assemble and depart from. Kawana Surf Club is also permitting the use of their car park as the finish point of the ride. Several other local businesses have donated time and/or services.

The 2016 Sunshine Coast Toy Run (this is the 21st year since this Toy Run was first initiated) will be attended by the Sunshine Coast Mayor and the Police Commissioner.



**But….we still need your help to ensure the success of the Toy Run. Whether you are an individual or a business, we call on you to donate a toy (or two) to this extraordinary cause.
