With great excitement, mobile devices and Let's Roam App in hand, hubby and I recently took on the Caloundra City Scavenger Hunt, in search of local historical lore and adventure.
Let me say from the outset being technologically savvy will definitely ensure you are ahead of the 'pack' and a motorised bicycle, moped or electric scooter will nicely round off the challenges to be completed, with perhaps a bit of time to spare! The coastal hills are far too daunting to attempt solely on foot, with the actual challenges being zig-zagged between beach, inner Caloundra and back again.
Brought to you by Let's Roam, the Sunshine Coast Scavenger Hunt explores some of the culture and history of the Sunshine Coast, commencing at Kings Beach. Scavenger hunters will discover hidden gems, whilst walking (cycling and/or driving) from landmark to statue and back again, solving riddles and answering trivia questions. Each challenge is only accessed, once the previous challenge has been successfully achieved. Work with your team to complete photo challenges and earn extra points for each discovery and photo your team takes. No need to stress, Let's Roam will guide your team to the next location, should you be unable to find the correct answer.
Let's Roam are a global organisation and at present have four locations across Australia, namely, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Port Macquarie. With a fantastic variety of scavenger Hunts on offer, adventurers in pursuit of fun and laughter and some exercise thrown into the mix, will love the choices. Each ticket type unlocks totally unique questions, challenges and roles designed for the occasion.
✔️I have been trying to decide what age demographic would find the Caloundra City Scavenger Hunt appealing and in my personal opinion, feel that today's Generation Z, would find the challenges - video and photo opportunities - far more 'up their alley' than the Baby Boomer generation (mine).
✖️After every challenge, the Let's Roam App asked the question: "Did you enjoy the challenge?" "Yes or No?" We were unable to answer this question as literally in the blink of an eye, the question and answers had disappeared from the screen. I'm hoping that Let's Roam can rectify this for future scavenger hunters - it would be nice to say 'aye' or 'nay', after every challenge.
I'm throwing a red herring in here ... oops, it's a Kookaburra!
