Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre can be found between Currimundi Beach and the mouth of Currimundi Lake, just north of Caloundra. The Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre offers high quality, safe and exciting recreational spaces for groups and families to get involved in.
How good are your climbing skills? Whether a beginner or a champion, The Rock Face at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre offers climbers an adrenaline-pumping experience on their ten metre indoor rock wall. Feel the thrill beneath your hands and toes, the rush of excitement as you soar and achieve new heights … why not put yourself to the test and challenge The Rock Face?
The Rock Face is open to the public at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre every Saturday and on weekdays during school holidays. This ten metre high covered rock wall has more than ten different climbs, offering varying degrees of difficulty from beginner to professional skill levels. For those better-than-average rock climbers in search of a challenge, there are crack only climbs and overhangs too. The
Rock Face has automatic belay systems which are ideal for solo climbs, but rest assured there are always experienced programme staff on hand, ready and able to assist climbers in scaling and conquering new heights.

Casual climbing $12.15 per person; #casual_climbing ">entry price includes all equipment;
All climbers are required to complete an activity release form before actual climbing begins;
Please ensure climbers wear sturdy shoes;
No bookings are required - you just show up!
Please call the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre on your chosen day to confirm exact times, as sometimes the session times need to be changed at the last minute.

Suitable for children aged five years and older. Children aged between five and twelve years of age need to be accompanied by an adult;
Enclosed shoes to be worn at all times. Please bring a water bottle;

Climbing After Dark
As a special bonus, the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre is keeping The Rock Face open for some late night climbing, complete with disco lights and pumping music. Bookmark these three dates in April to make sure you don't miss out on some awesome night climbs.

Parties and Group bookings
The Rock Face and The Caves are available for private parties and group bookings any day of the week - subject to availability. For enquiries and prices,

Please note that 'Caving' is no longer being offered on Saturdays; 'Caving' is
only available for group bookings and parties. To ensure keen adventurers keep smiling, the Rock Climbing hours at the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre have been extended to
every Saturday 9.00am to 4.00pm plus specific days during school holidays from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Indoor Rock Climbing is an exciting and fun activity for the whole family and with children aged five years and older able to participate, a visit to the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre is an absolute must-do fitness adventure for every member of the family.
