We all know that the Sunshine Coast is renowned for its wonderful local produce, fresh foods and locally made products.

The Real Food Festival celebrates all that is good about the Sunshine Coast's food scene, including its producers, manufacturers, retailers and restaurants.

Held in the Maleny Showgrounds over the weekend of 13 and 14 September 2014, entry to the festival is $20 and kids under 16 are free.



With a philosophy of Taste, Learn, Love...fun food interaction is assured.

The festival offers the chance to browse through over 120 stalls, learn from demonstrations and discussions, get hands on with food and enjoy the many activities over the weekend.

The Sunshine Coast is foodie heaven, and this festival showcases the deliciousness of the local foods as well as the creativity of local manufacturers, retailers and restaurants.

The Real Food Festival is spread over six venues, each one focusing on a different area of interest.

The Real Food Kitchen features cooking demonstrations.

The Food for Thought venue has experts speaking about food-related topics, such as diet and health.

The Nourishing Ideas venue is an interactive venue to share discussions about a range of topics related to diet and health.

The Food Craft venue is all about showcasing tips and techniques to turn you into a kitchen whizz.

The Kitchen Garden offers tips and ideas about primary production and growing your own quality foods at home.

The Little Sprouts kids area is about fun food related kids activities.

Featuring baby animals, puzzles, games, face painting and a jumping castle to keep the children happy, this Festival is family foodie fun.

Add in some competitions, street performers, show bags packed to the brim with deals and offers, and a reusable bag to carry all of the goodies you find at the festival.
