Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!

Courtyard with Moat
Who would believe that we have our very own Norman style castle, complete with turrets, towers, moat and drawbridge right here on the Sunshine Coast? What a wonderful fantasy place for children and adults alike; explore the multitude of circular stairways leading to turrets overlooking the Maroochy River and the hinterland or down to the dungeons with the assistance of your own castle map. There are plenty of hidey-holes and nooks and crannies to explore.
The Castle comes 'alive' with medieval displays of days gone by. there are beautiful doll exhibits (a very large and eclectic collection) and fairytales are showcased too — Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood to name a few — and even a model railway set.
Knight in Shining Armour
Twice a year in March and October, the castle hosts a Knight of Opera with the Underground Opera Company transforming this very unusual venue into the Opera House of the Sunshine Coast; an event not to be missed.
