The second installment of Sunset Sounds on Sunday 13 January, sees Zimbabwean-born, Melbourne based, singer-songwriter Thando grace the stage at Central Park. The genre-bending artist had her breakout moment in 2018 with the single 'Numb', and has since opened for Soul crooner Leon Bridges, R&B master Maxwell and collaborated with Australian Hip Hop greats REMI and Sampa the Great.
Thando will be supported by The Meltdown.
This stellar band bring a blend of Stax and Motown with a healthy dose of the Nashville songwriting tradition. Making the song the focus, The Meltdown stay true to the story and keep your attention on the soaring voice of Simon Burke. Their debut self-titled record was released in 2017 to great critical acclaim, followed by a run of sold out shows and festival appearances.
