The second installment of Sunset Sounds on Sunday 13 January, sees Zimbabwean-born, Melbourne based, singer-songwriter Thando grace the stage at Central Park. The genre-bending artist had her breakout moment in 2018 with the single 'Numb', and has since opened for Soul crooner Leon Bridges, R&B master Maxwell and collaborated with Australian Hip Hop greats REMI and Sampa the Great.
Thando will be supported by The Meltdown. This stellar band bring a blend of Stax and Motown with a healthy dose of the Nashville songwriting tradition. Making the song the focus, The Meltdown stay true to the story and keep your attention on the soaring voice of Simon Burke. Their debut self-titled record was released in 2017 to great critical acclaim, followed by a run of sold out shows and festival appearances. For more information on Sunset Sounds 2019, please visit the City of Stonnington website .[BREAK]Don't forget the other concerts in the Sunset Sound 2019 series:[BREAK] Sunset Sounds at Victoria Gardens Victoria Gardens, Sunday 6 January, 6-8pmVaudeville Smash supported by The Seven Ups with PBS DJ Lyndelle Wilkinson spinning from 5pm[BREAK] Sunset Sounds at Malvern Gardens Malvern Gardens, 20 January, 6-8pmHorns of Leroy featuring Shannen Wick supported by The Twoks with PBS DJ Maddy Mac from 5pm
