Hornsby Mall is the place to be on Friday nights in February when Sunset Sessions return with free live music for all ages, along with an artisan crafts market and some hunger busting food and thirst quenchers.

Up and coming musicians with growing buzz will entertain from 5pm until 8pm, allowing you to unwind at the end of the working week with a variety of music styles. The line-up is as follows:-

3 February

Alternative RnB and soul from singer/songwriter Morgan Bain

Vocal powerhouse Aleisha McDonald

10 February

Fun-toting pop act Froyo will bring back the 80's

One man multi-instrumentalist Christo Jones will perform twisted symphonic pop tunes

Human beatboxer LC Beats

17 February

Le Pie with dark but uplifting pop music

A musical evolution from David Sharp featuring music from the soul swinging 60's to present day popular music

24 February

BUOY provide striking vocals amidst a haunting instrumental soundscape

Eccentric husband and wife duo Bow and Arrow with electro-soul music

Defective playing buckets - on the side of producing electronic music

Grab some dinner from a food truck whilst chilling out to the tunes. A variety of different cuisines may see you sampling some authentic Venezuelan food from Hola Fresco (3 Feb) or devouring gourmet German sausages from Fritz's Wieners (3 Feb & 17 Feb). Char Char Food Truck has ribs and burgers (10 Feb & 24 Feb) whilst Trinhy's is an exploration of Vietnamese cuisine (10 Feb & 24 Feb). For Japanese food, chow down with Sakura on Wheelz (17 Feb).

Cool down with an exquisite treat from Serendipity Ice Cream and the inventive Icicle Bicycle or enjoy a drink from the pop-up bar.

The artisan crafts market comes in the form of a suitcase forage where you rummage through bags of arts and crafts at the intimate market, fountain-side. With an assortment of jewellery, bags, artworks, clothing and candles, you may find the perfect gift for someone hard to buy for or that 'something unique' for your house.

Admire the unusual fountain whilst there as well. It is actually known as the Hornsby Water Clock and is a kinetic sculpture titled Man, Time and the Environment. Designed by Victor Cusack, the clock is fully functional and powered by water. Mounted on a floating pontoon, it rotates every 12 hours as it sweeps past roman numerals in the pond of the fountain.

Soothe your soul to the sounds of the water and the tunes of musicians. It's a great place to relax and hang out with family and friends.
