A pawfect sunset at Sunset Park
My Cavoodle loves walkies
A note to take my Cavoodle for 'walkies' at an unleashed dog zone in Brisbane this weekend; such as Sunset Park in Ashgrove. We sometimes visit an off-leash dog park or beach, yet, so far in Brisbane, this park is our favourite, particularly at sunset.
On the weekend, my Cavoodle loves to mingle with small dogs, big dogs, spotty dogs, posh dogs and rescue dogs. It is amazing how the different breeds of dogs come together peacefully and I love hearing their unique stories from their owners, sometimes over a glass of wine or coffee.
My Cavoodle usually spends most of her time in the smaller pen, which is where the pooches and puppies hang (away from the dog poop, at one of the shaded seating areas). On the way out, we often visit the doggy obstacle, which my pooch seems to avoid. Even after I have demonstrated the ease of walking over the bridge and around the boulders before exiting at the gate.
Sunset Park in Ashgrove is not far from Banneton Bakery, which serves great soy lattes and artisan organic savouries; they also provide water bowls for thirsty dogs. Beware, car parking spaces are limited.
