Sunset Cinema returns to Wollongong Botanic Garden this December with a stellar line-up of the latest blockbusters, family favourites and VHS classics under the stars.
The 2018/19 season kicks off on December 13 with Bohemian Rhapsody, a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury (Rami Malek).
Other new releases include A Star Is Born directed by and starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in her first leading role in a major motion picture. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Mary Poppins Returns, Bumblebee and Mortal Engines are some of the great blockbusters to look forward to, while those who love a comedy can enjoy Holmes & Watson and Instant Family.
Families can look forward to seeing popular new releases such as The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Ralph Breaks The Internet, Smallfoot and the all-time classic The Lion King under stars as well.
VHS classics include Spice World, Dirty Dancing and Storm Boy. Other special screenings include a sing-a-long version of The Greatest Showman and advance screening of The King of Thieves, starring Sir Michael Caine.
There are some yet to be announced screenings, so keep on eye on the website for all the latest.
Complementing the outdoor cinema experience is a selection of Wollongong's favourite food trucks and a licensed bar (please note there is no BYO). There will also be free activity packs for the kids.
Tickets are now on sale; choose from General Admission or upgrade to the ultimate premium package ticket for the real star treatment. Lawn Lounge tickets include a reserved bean lounger, a beverage (your choice of a glass of wine, bottle of beer or non-alcoholic drink) and a box of popcorn!
