The menu is quite extensive ranging from the usual breakfasts of bacon and eggs to the Italian Breakfast, wraps and melts of various kinds, fish and chips, beef, and chicken and lamb burgers, and a BLT are also included in the menu. Soup has been added for the cold weather and corn fritters as well. Salad is served with some meals and a veggie burger is available if you don't like meat. Most every taste is catered for.
For those with a sweet tooth you can get a real milkshake, not one of those undersized ones in a small glass which are becoming the norm for cafes that like to skimp. Friands, cookies, muffins and cake are always available, with ice cream if you wish.
The staff are friendly and always welcome you with a smile. Service is reasonably fast and the food is fresh. The Sunrise Cafe is always very popular for breakfast especially on weekends and public holidays. There is always a sizeable crowd even during the week.
The location is especially pleasing with views to the ocean as the cafe is situated in the road which runs on the hillside directly behind the very popular Warriewood Beach.
After visiting the cafe you should cross the road to view the beach and coastline from the timber platform lookout built some years ago by the Pittwater Council.
The Sunrise Cafe is worth visiting all year round if you are a local or a visitor just touring the Northern Beaches coastline. The cafe opens at 6.30 am and closes around 3.30 pm most days. A special note – the cafe is dog-friendly.
