Escape to the country

What more could a two-and-a-half-year-old want than waking up to see ponies and alpacas from the front deck?

Our daughter loved staying at Sunnyhurst Chalets in Bridgetown, although she simply refers to it as Cos' Farm.

Cos and his wife Tracey own and run the farmstay and are friendly, welcoming hosts. Cos would come around in the mornings to feed the animals, which was very exciting for our little one. While she wasn't keen to get too close to the animals, she enjoyed watching the animals, including sheep and donkeys, go about life in their paddock.

It's not only the animals that are in close proximity to Sunnyhurst, right next door is a winery!

As well as a small playground near the chalets, there is a small but well-loved mini golf course and for those there at the right time of year, a pool!

The chalets are comfortable and work well for families, they have kitchens, so you can self cater and also wood fires to keep you warm at night. It's a great place to explore the region from.
