I had reason to visit Cabramatta on business recently and finding a hotel wasn't too difficult with an online search generating quite a few to choose from. Most however were small motels which offered day rates, in my opinion day rates give a good indication of the regular clientele, so motels which offer this are to be avoided. I came across Sunny Brook Hotel and Conference Centre and decided to book a room.
The hotel is located on the Hume Highway with Cabramatta Road being the nearest cross street. This hotel is about 2 kms from the centre of Cabramatta which is sign posted as "Little Asia", a great cultural experience with lots of authentic Asian restaurants, market style stores and a great selection of haberdashery and material shops - a haven for any dressmaker.
This hotel was built in the mid 80's. There are signs in the foyer which state refurbishing is being carried out and some floors are closed. My room was on the ground floor, away from the main entrance. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, providing information about the hotel, my room and the onsite bistro.
The room itself was clean although furnishings do reflect the year the hotel was opened if you like retro, you'll love it here.
