After the success of his first solo exhibition, 'East Meets West' at the Graydon Gallery in Brisbane early 2014, Sung is embarking on a new project 'Sung Kim FineArt'; a collection of original fine art gifts for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, anniversaries, send off's, corporate functions and any other special occasion.
These enduring gifts are inspired by a Korean traditional art form called Munjado and Western Impressionism of the 19th century. Each piece is unique and personally tailored to the recipient; this includes incorporating the recipient's name and words & phrases which are recognisable to the recipient into the work. Each piece of work is educational and inspirational for children especially.
With this new collection of works, Sung 'literally spell(s) words through the positioning of pictures, [which] are not only relevant to the subject matter but are also memories [of] childhood.' It is a distinctive artistic style Sung has developed since the early 1990s, which often features images of flowers, birds, trees, fishes, animals, insects and children. Furthermore Sung invites the viewer to find the hidden names and word & phrases formed within the imagery.
Artworks usually take approximately 10 working days from payment confirmation to arriving at your doorstep – this is entirely dependent on the commission workload. Understandably, there is an established waiting list so please order early. 'Rush' jobs will incur an extra charge.
