Walking St Market
Walking St Market

Every Sunday on Ratchadamnoen Road, from the Tha Pae Gate to Wat Phra Singh and branching off down several side streets and into various temple grounds, the Walking Street Market dominates the evening proceedings in Chiang Mai.

It is a crowded but good natured affair with locals and tourists alike browsing the array of beautifully crafted goods, some made with real love and artistic ability. You can get everything from clothes to soap, from art work to ceramics, musical instruments and souvenirs.

The food on offer is great as well, such an array of interesting and tasty street food to impress, even in a country that does street food so well anyway.
