Sunday Sounds at Northbridge Piazza 2015/2016


"Sunday Sounds" is back again! Perth's love affair with the Northbridge Piazza continues with a line-up of some of Perth's best musical talents appearing for FREE! Starting this September, on the last Sunday of the month, be prepared for musical horderves served from 4-7pm. To follow, choose from an extensive menu of options available in the restaurants, cafes, bars, and businesses of the Northbridge precinct. Thank you City of Perth!

The upcoming shows include;
• September 27: Ari Davis & Conan Chapman and the Michelle Smith Quartet
• October 25: Local Heroes & Beans Buma's Boys of Rhythm
• November 29: The Swingin' Gypsies and Summer Groove

Don't settle for my limited literary talents to describe these acts. Seek out their sounds, search the web, you will not believe what you will hear. Let me only say that to have the opportunity to see these acts for FREE is truly awesome and amazing and not to be missed.

Allow the sublime harmonies of Ari Davis & Conan Chapman, combining guitar, percussion, and vocals, to take you away to Mello land. Become spellbound by the silky smooth magical tones of Jazz harpist Michelle Smith and her quartet. Harp is hip and truly unique. You will hear Latin, blues and amazing swing.

Be mesmerised by the group "Local Heroes"; their soulful vocals combining to cover a wide range of material from Pop to Blues bordering on Jazz. High-octane and raucous Beans Buma's Boys of Rhythm, definitely a band, young, fresh and hilarious!

The incredibly tight and infectious energy of the Swingin' Gypsies swing group. The charismatic UK-born vocalist Summer Groove will win you over with her husky, smooth, and powerful rendition of Motown, soul and jazz classics. "When will it end?" you may ask. For purely practical reasons, there is a break for Christmas and New Year; then Sunday Sounds continues from February to May in the new year. It's the summer of Sunday Sounds.
