Chill out with free live music on the lawn at South Bank
As any Brisbane resident can tell you, one of the best ways to enjoy our fair city is to get out to some spectacular location on the riverfront. And if there's some great local live music thrown into the mix, then so much the better. South Bank's River Quay Green is one such location and their Sunday Sessions on the Green provide some of the best local musical talent you're likely to see. And it's all FREE.
River Quay is famous as the home of some of Brisbane's most popular restaurants and bars. Sitting snugly side-by-side are the fine dining Stokehouse Q, the French provincial Aquitaine Brasserie, The Jetty, Popolo's authentic Italian and River Quay Fish. But it's also famous for its lush, rolling lawn, natural amphitheatre and wide concrete steps, and the uninterrupted views of the city skyline and up and down the river. In short, it's the perfect place to while away a lazy Sunday afternoon.
[ADVERT]Pull up a giant bean bag or spread out a rug. Avail yourself of some of the great dining options nearby or BYO picnic and let some of Brisbane's best performers help you stave off any thoughts of the week to come. No cost, cares, no responsibilities, just a lazy Sunday chill out. Or you can play lawn games if you're feeling energetic.
River Quay Green is licensed between 10am and 8pm daily (excluding Australia Day, New Year's Eve and Riverfire) so you can also add a cold glass of your favourite tipple to the experience but remember, you must be over 18 to drink here and you must have food to accompany your drinks.
