As part of this year's Melbourne Writers Festival that will take place in Melbourne between 26 August and 2 September, the Immigration Museum hosts its inaugural Salon for spoken word artists.

On 26 August at 6 pm artist, actor and activist Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa and spoken word poet Nour Abouzeid will present a very varied and multi-talented group of artists from poets to composers, from spoken word artists to writers and multi-media artists. There will be different mediums and various mother tounges. This will be a night to immerse yourself in spoken word and sound of languages.
The Salon will be at the Immigration Museum on 26 August at 6 pm. Tickets are $22 and $19 concession and can be purchased online. For more information on the event and participants, please go here.
