Are you salivating for a Sunday Roast in the Dandenongs?
Where can I buy Sunday Roast in the Dandenongs?

That is exactly the same question I had been asking for the past 10 years that we have lived in the Dandenongs!

Sunday Roast... especially good on a cold winters day... (this is a random image though, not from Eden Cafe)

Yes! We found a beautiful, historic, restaurant that has recently been taken over by a family who have English heritage and a real flair for creating delicious menus.

Eden Cafe, Mount Dandenong. Looking through to the garden from inside. Serenity...peace...

Eden Cafe, formerly Churinga Cafe, right opposite the world famous Ricketts Sanctuary, have Sunday roast on their menu. From midday, every Sunday, until sold out.

We stopped in at Eden recently to enjoy afternoon tea and were chuffed to see Sunday Roast on the menu. The refurbishment and changes that the new owners have made are sympathetic to the history of what is the oldest cafe in the Dandenongs.

So, next time you are heading out for a day in the hills... go on over to Eden Cafe and indulge! Have a wander around Ricketts Sanctuary too perhaps, it is free and unique.

Sunday roast aside, what a wonderful atmosphere to dine in with those magnificent widows looking out on to such a lovely garden.
